I have been a special education and general education teacher for the past 12 years. I have worked with students in all grades from PreK through 12th grade. I rely on forming a strong relationship with the students and families in order to tailor education specific to their needs and wants. At the same time, I can provide guidance as to what skills to teach based on standards and prerequisite skills that the student may need. I believe it is important for students to work on skills they lack as well as skills they need for their current grade level.

My name is Zoya and I am here if you need help in Algebra 1 and anything under that! I know sometimes it can be difficult to learn from your teachers because it isn't as easy for most as some make it seem (trust me as a high school student, I know), that is why I am here to introduce new and informational tactics to help you understand things better! A typical lesson plan will be consisted of going over what your teachers' lesson was for the day, and planning for anything ahead! I won't give you extra work or make you think inside a tight box, I will make sure that you have the free time you need but also give you an advanced chance to learn

I have been working with kids for 17 years, and as a teacher for 7. 2 of those years have been in Elementary Education. I focus on finding an approach that works for each student, and use multiple strategies to further their understanding. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a Teaching Certification, and am currently working on an additional Literacy Certification. I start by assessing each student's abilities, and work from there.

In addition to teaching for 12 years in US universities, I also have taught English for 17 years in Japan, working with all ages, from 6 month-old infants and their mothers, to retirees. My students have studied English for a variety of motives: personal enrichment, travel, educational and test-taking, and professional, including mechanical and computer engineers and researchers publishing their work in English-language journals. • Deafness – covers kids who can't hear most or all sounds, even with a hearing aid.
  • Deaf-Blindness (DB) – covers kids with both severe hearing and vision loss that requires unique programs.
  • Emotional Disturbance (ED) – various mental health issues such as anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and depression.
  • Intellectual Disability (ID) – covers disabilities such as below-average intellectual abilities, poor communication or social skills, and poor self care. One example is down syndrome.
