I have taught Deaf students for more than 40 years. Many of the principles to teach reading and writing to Deaf students use a very visual approach. I have incorporated Whole Language and English as a Second Language (ESL) techniques.
The last two years, I have been employed by two Tucson school districts as a Special Education paraprofessional.
