About
My personal love of learning is what makes me passionate about teaching others. It's also amazes me how much I learn, while helping others. I help students achieve their goals through positive encouragement, high expectations and focused goals. I have been a public educator for over 15 years in many different capacaties. I started as a one-one teacher assistant for a child with special needs and that is what prompted me to pursue a career in teaching. I've taught elementary and middle school students and am currently teaching 2nd grade at a small charter school in Phoenix, Arizona.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Saint Andrews University with a BA in Elementary Education in 2015. I am currently working toward an MA in Educational Administration at Grand Canyon University.
I love helping students acheive their goals! It is so rewarding when I get to see a student make progress in challenges areas. I also love to use my creative flare and free spirited personality to engage students and make learning fun.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to do a pre test on the skills that are being addressed so that I know what to focus on in our sessions. I also like to hear from the student in order to understand their needs and learning style.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a 2nd grade teacher in my 5th year of teaching and have over 15 years experience in education, specifically public schools. I have been tutoring students as a supplemental income for over 5 years.
