About
I have been a Montessori teacher for going on 18 years. I have a Master's Degree in elementry education with an emphsis on early childhood development. I am a mother to an active 13 year old boy and love my job as a teacher. I have my Montessori training for 2.5 to 6 year olds and have an ablilty to assist children and adults in language and math, using the materials from the method. Montessori materials allow me to have the ability to show you or your child to a certian math or language concept and break it down in an clear way for them to understand. For children and adults who are learning the logistics of how the English language works, the Montessori approach helps break it down and allows the student to have the freedom of reading and writing our language sucuessfully.
I am currently a Montessori Guide to 26 children at Augustas H Shaw Montessori School. This is my third year at this school and I absolutely love my community and serving the families here.
Being a teacher, I get to inspire young minds as they begin their educational journey. I've been given the gift of showing children how to take their education and be self suffiecent and how to explore and gain a love of life long learning.
