About
I am a certified teacher that graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Northern Arizona University. My focus was in science, however, I have taught mostly english language arts (ELA) throughout my teaching experiences. I am also certified to teach middle school ELA. I am a patient worker and I really take the time to break down what is misunderstood. I understand that every student learns very differently and I try to assess their needs and teach them in the most effective way possible.
I love to teach. I have realized through many personal experiences that teaching is my purpose in life and what I am meant to do. I absolutley love being able to impart wisdom and confidence into the students that will someday run the world. It is my hope that I can change even just one life for the better throughout my career. Working with kids keeps me happy and it keeps me motivated to be the best person I can be. I just hope to spread kindness and good habits to every student that I come in contact with.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to show my students that I am just a regular human like them that makes mistakes. I try to build rapport with my students and help them to understand that I only want to help them and not step on their toes or bite their heads off if they have questions. I like to show them that I am not scary and I am a kind, open-minded person who they just need to ask if they need help.
Depending on what we are working on, I will have them create a product for assessment. After looking at this, I would determine their needs and set goals. We will then work on achieving their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified teacher with a Bachelor's degree in elementary education with a focus in science. I am certified to teach all elementary subjects and middle school english language arts (ELA).

My standard pricing is $40 per hour.
