I am on a year-long break from a highly accredited university (University of Rochester) to rediscover my passion for both learning and teaching. Writing and reading comprehension are my strengths. Considering I have younger siblings, I've been tutoring casually for most of my life. This has prepared me for more difficult children as well. Being a university student has prepared me to aid older students with varying types of essays as well.
Success in life often begins with being well-written and well-spoken, and pushing others toward success is a passion of mine.
As a first-generation college student and first-generation high school graduate, oftentimes, I had to fend for myself in the academic world. My mother had difficulty helping me with my work, so I was left to figure it out myself. I liking giving other students the help I didn't have.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Just think about how your needs can be effectively communicated to the teacher. Be firm about your needs by saying "I have a few needs I would like to discuss with you", and make sure they know those are requirements for your learning to go smoothly.
