Frequently asked questions

A general overview of the kinds of maths they'll need help with, as well as general questions on how the student likes to learn, what information will help, etc (for example, for any new formula given, like the law of cosines or the defining equation of a derivative, would the student learn better with a proof as to why these formulas are what they are? why they work? or would this be too much information and lose the student?)

I have a history in both making online lectures as well as working in person with students through both a youtube channel and experience working at Mathnasium.

The pricing will vary based on the specific needs of the student, however, the traditional starting will be $20/hr for online tutoring and $25/hr for in-person tutoring.

I have worked with students of all age groups and learning styles through Mathnasium, I am particularly fond of students who ask a lot of questions like "why?" or "when will I use this in real life?" as these are very common questions for new learners in math, or students who don't yet have a love for mathematics, which is okay! I enjoy working with people who want to understand math even if they never have. I also fondly enjoy inquirers who already are above their current level and want to reach even higher.

Look for someone you feel comfortable asking questions to! you are by no means stupid for not immediately understanding a new and often dofficult concept, so you should never feel stupid when you are with your teacher! find someone who will be sure to go at whatever pace you go at, and who will answer your every question making sure you feel fully heard and taught until you understand the concept.
