Math Masters And English Blasters
About
One of the things I enjoyed the most about working as a classroom teacher was opportunities to work with my students either in small groups or one-to-one in order to really provide the unique support that each learner requires in order to master the skill/lesson. Tutoring allows me to connect with students on a personal level and provide that one-to-one support that many students need in order to be successful. I have taught both middle and high school in a large urban district for over 34 years. I recently retired and I really miss working with students.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
During the first session I spend a few minutes getting to know my student so I can begin to understand their learning styles and preferences. I also take the time to find out what goals the student has for the session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My undergraduate degree is in special education and elementary education. I have two master's degrees; one in educational computing and the other is in educational leadership. I taught both regular and special education for twenty-five years in a large urban district and finished my career in that same district as an administrator. I am licensed by the state of Wisconsin as both a regular and special education teacher and a K-12 school administrator (principal/assistant principal).
