Riley Buck

Hello, my name is Riley! I am studying Psychology and Creative Writing at Winona State University. I have been tutoring on and off for the past 5 years where I have helped students, and peers, with Math, English, Accounting, and overall study techniques. I have a deep passion for learning and understanding curriculum in a widely applicable way. If you are looking for help with something that just doesn't make sense, I would love to help, and I know how a shift of perspective can spark new thought! Or if you're looking for a fresh mind on a project, I can certainly help brainstorm and/or construct the outline.

I am currently a Junior in my undergraduate program and upon graduation I will head into a Neuroscience Graduate program where I plan to research substance use issues. My passion runs deep for the inner workings of our minds and how we can help the silent illnesses inside.

My work is unique in that I am a "big-picture" functioning person, so I benefit from a multi-modal education plan. This means that I can tailor curriculum to just about every learning style, and in many cases, I can combine them for a more accurate image.

I thrive on organization and planning, so rest assured, any work we might undergo together will include discipline. Sometimes tutoring entails having an accountability partner and I can certainly be that. Procrastination is the enemy of a good education, and my mindset, along with my organization tactics, counteract this dilemma very well!
