Claire DeJong

I am a 27 year old program assistant with five years of engineering experience as well. During my time at college, I actively volunteered my time with STEM outreach programs with local elementary schools. I have also tutored for middle school aged students. I have experience with a wide array of age and expertise of the students. I enjoy making connections with the individual to help meet them where they are at, as well as how to best help them meet their goals. I like to approach learning not as simple memorization, but as learning the methods and the "why's" behind what we do. My favorite part about tutoring is seeing that ah-ha moment where the students finally get it. Seeing that boost of confidence makes everything worth it.
