What is your typical process for working with a new student?
After introduction, I like to find out the areas that need attention. A lot of times students don't like math because it hasn't been presented or explained well to them. I like to provide several ways to solve a problem and usually one of these will be something the student will remember. I believe understanding is a better way to retain knowledge in math as compared to memorizing without rhyme or reason.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked as a Design Engr in the aircraft industry most of my life. This included continuous use of math except for Calculus, Statistics, Discreet Math and Differential Equations.

My fees are very reasonable. I do this because I like to help students understand math. The first session is free to see if I am able to help, to see how I can help the student and we can work together and to gage the student's interest in learning math.
Fees are based on level of complexity.
