Mathnasium Of Green Bay
About
We know how to teach children math. Our specially trained math instructors teach children how to understand math in an individual setting – our unique approach enables us to effectively explain math concepts and lend a helping hand to every student. Our tutors foster a caring, encouraging environment that helps kids thrive and learn!
We pinpoint children's learning needs, meet them where they are, and take them where they need to go. Mathnasium instructors use our unique assessment process to determine (with great accuracy) exactly what each child knows and what they need to learn. Next, we design a customized learning plan for teaching the concepts the student needs to master. It doesn’t stop there – our encouraging instructors continually check progress along the way to make sure kids truly understand and retain the concepts we’ve taught. The results are transformative – kids will see measurable changes in attitude, confidence, and school progress.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Each student goes through a thorough, no-obligation assessment. We determine, with great accuracy, what the child understands about math and what skill gaps they have.
This assessment processs allows us to create a specific, individualized learning plan for each student. We don't guess about what we need to teach them and we don't waste time teaching them what they already know.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mathnasium of Green Bay is your neighborhood math-only learning center. We help kids in grades 2 -12 understand math by teaching the way that makes sense to them. When math makes sense, kids leap way ahead – whether they started out far behind or already ahead in math. Our formula for teaching kids math, the Mathnasium Method™, has transformed the way kids learn math for over a decade across 800+ centers in the US and Canada:
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We have a variety of programs, both year round and summer offerings. Most students take advantage of our regular program which works like a gym membership. One price gets you unlimited 1-hour visits per month, although we recommend 2-3 times a week (10 times a month) for best results. Pricing will vary based on age of the child and program selected.
How did you get started teaching?
Mathnasium has been instucting students since 2002. We have over 100 locations worldwide, over 900 in North America.
What types of students have you worked with?
Grades 2-12. Students must be able to read to participate in our program.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would ask any tutor 3 questions:
1. How do you determine what material my child needs to learn? I.E., how do you know what they know and don't know?
2. What is your curriculum?
3. How do you measure the student's progress?
