About

I am a math and chemistry major at UWGB, with a lot of experience in tutoring. In addition to being currently employed as a math tutor by the UW system, I also tutored for most of my junior and senior years at highschool. Math, and math instruction, holds a special place in my heart, as I seek to ultimately get a Ph.d, so I have tried to equip myself with many ways of approaching individual problems; tutoring higher level maths has absolutely helped me in this regard.

I have a deep appreciation for the expansive field that is mathematics, and love to spread its beauty to those I tutor. I deeply believe in the old proverb that teachers learn as much from their students as they do from their teachers, and each time I receive a new pupil to teach, I see it as a new opportunity to strengthen my approach as well.

Frequently asked questions

I Prefer to call my students before any sessions take place so that I can introduce myself and get to know them a bit. I also typically have them link me the types of problems they are having trouble with so that I am throughly prepared to jump into the tutoring as soon as our session begins.

I have been a tutor in mathematics since I was in highschool, and continue to occupy that role at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where I am pursuing a B.S. in mathematics and chemistry. Through my role as a tutor, I have had the opportunity of helping students of various ages through maths topics that ranged from pre algebra to calculus and proof based courses like abstract algebra and discrete mathematics.
The highschool that I attended provided me the opportunity to volunteer as a math tutor for those of my peers that struggled in the subject; this is where I discovered my excitement for teaching. In fact, I love the act of teaching so much that I plan on attaining a Ph.D in order to lead classrooms of my own in college level mathematics.
