Saundra worked with my budget, and even helped me on multiple occasions for free. Without question, she was more concerned about helping me than making money. She is very down to earth and real.

Sandie was so patient and made our lessons a lot of fun, as well as practical. I got to decide what we would be working on and even got to choose what some of my homework would be. She always found a way to make everything I did more interesting. I am now excelling in all of my classes, and my parents are really happy.

I liked that I got to choose what our next lesson would cover, and I liked that Saundra showed a genuine interest in my progress.

    Frequently asked questions

The first, and most important thing to do is get to know one another a little better. You learn so much easier when you feel comfortable with your instructor. Depending on the age of the student we may play a few games together or we may just chat for a bit. This will help me to assess the student's level of competency with the subject, as well as their general attitude towards it and what their goals may be and also give me an idea of the student's interests so that I can tailor a lesson plan to their unique personality and goals.

From there we will set some goals and plan a strategy to reach those goals that will keep the student's interest as well as keep the student progressing and feeling challenged without becoming frustrated.

Every student is unique and has their own learning methods. No strategy or plan is the same and it is impossible to say what exact steps would come after this. In each session I make sure to talk about the practical applications of the material we are covering, as well as answer any questions the student has and give them something fun to do in between sessions that will strengthen their understanding of the material without feeling too much like more "homework". I can also say that in the long run, goals are reached, deadlines met, sessions are fun and interesting and most importantly, the student learns and progresses in not just the one particular subject, but also as a student in general.
