A Little Jaunt Tutoring

I value empathy, honesty, and accountability. I believe that creating and maintaining authentic relationships are the foundation of long lasting growth and change. I am currently finishing up my masters degree in Counseling Psychology specializing in Children and Adolescents. I am interning at an eating recovery center working directly with children, teens, and adults with mental disorders including bipolar, depression, borderline personality, anxiety, anorexia, binge eating, and more.

EXPERIENCE:

Over fourteen years experience teaching, tutoring, and caretaking for all ages, levels, styles, and comfort zones.

Subjects include but not limited to: cognitive & motor skills, study, organization, & accountability skills, reading, writing, test prep, basic math, basic science, social studies, speech, poems, college essays, art, dance, movement therapy, creative movement, and more.

-Lived and taught English and dance in countries such as Japan, India, Uganda, & Kenya

-Currently teaching English part time online through a live video platform based out of China to ages five to eighteen.

-Tutored and mentored high school students through the Refugee and Immigrant Children's program in subjects such as English, Writing, Language Arts, test prep, and more.

-Engaged youth in a church setting as a youth leader sharing bible curriculum and creating and implementing new and fun activities.

-Currently teaching dance classes weekly to teens and adults.

-Instructed, demonstrated, and spotted basic gymnastics and cognitive and motor development skills to toddlers and young children in parent and children classes.
