About
My service stands out due to my social and emotional learning background working with students K-8. I like to focus on achieving success in a holistic way, acknowledging the way we feel is the way we learn. I am adjustable to students and reach them where they are for the sake of academic success.
I enjoy learning and the confidence it brings to people. Gaining independence and knowledge are some of the most important skills in life and these are intertwined in being a tutor. I enjoy bringing people the independence of being educated and how it will help them to understand themselves even more. I always look forward to aiding students in mastering their desired topic, it is fulfilling both for them and me.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have a few questions I like to ask first, involving their desire to learn the particular subject, the time they are willing to dedicate, and more. These give me a guideline for how I will approach lessons and what my expectations will be. I also believe it is important to establish a SMART goal in order to identify the steps it will take to achieve it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to school for education and had the opportunity to get four years of training in the development of students and the best ways for them to learn. Additionally, I have worked at, interned, and volunteered for various educational organizations including the Boys and Girls Club and local libraries. I have 5 total years of experience with K-8 students.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I price on a sliding scale according to the needs and resources of the student.
How did you get started teaching?
I grew up in a family of educators and have always wanted to interact with the same experiences. I have a natural skill and want to help as many as I can with it.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students across the spectrum, low-income, immigrants, English-language learners, and more!
