Hello! I'm a student at Eastlake High School and I'm looking to make a little extra cash by tutoring your school- aged child (6th grade and down). My strengths are maths, writing, and history. I have a lot of experience working with kids of all ages and have an extremely flexible schedule.Tutoring is a great way to help your child advance in his or her education effectively and comprehensively. I have found that completing assignments and reviewing mistakes, working through difficult problems, is always the best way to learn and retain knowledge. My philosophy is: Everyone is capable of academic success, however academic success is not always achieved by the same means. Your child will receive an individualized approach to his or her education, a surefire way to improve test scores, productivity, and assignment completion. I am able to study anywhere in the Redmond/ Issaquah/ Sammamish area. Payment will be discussed upon consultation, as I am aware every family's financial situation is different, but every child should receive an education. Regardless, you can count on affordable services.
I love working with kids, and seeing their knowledge and personalities grow over time. Especially through their elementry years, all children are a joy to teach, een and especially those with larger personalities.

The first priority when meeting a new student is to detirmine what they are struggleing the most with. A list of missing assignments as well as assignments the student has done poorly on should be made and then discussed with the student AND the parents. From there, the student and I will begin first working through missing assignments and correcting assignments and assesments where maybe the student has not reveived the desired grade. Daily homework and practice should also be completed in this time. If a student has trouble with one concept in particular, it is important to recognize that early in order to begin to explain it in a way the student can undrstand.
Pricing is determined with each individual family, as I understand everyone's financial situation is different.
Recently, I passed a placement exam for a level 100 literature class at the local college. As a tenth grade student, I am extremely proud because not only did I pass, I completed the task in a third of the average time, and with only one incorrect answer out of thrity two questions.
Consider the amount of time you might have to spend with this person. It is important that you are comfortable learning with them.
