Hello! My name is Katie. I have a double Bachelors of Science in Cellular/Molecular Biology and Paramedic Medicine, a Minor in Chemistry and a Doctorate in Medicine. I am available to tutor Chemistry, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Basic Physics, and math up to Algebra. I offer in person (region limited) and remote tutoring. I have been teaching privately for students in math and piano for more than 5 years. My style of teaching involves hands on practice and keeping students engaged with activities and encouragement. I am currently in school for computer science and have been continuing my studies and passions within mathematics. I have passed all math courses in college with a 4.0 GPA all the way up to discrete mathematics. I am a recent graduate from the University of Washington, Masters in Elementary Teaching Program. I am certified to teach all subjects K-8 with an endorsement in ELL teaching. I am fluent in Spanish and spent my student teaching in dual-language schools teaching K and 4th grade. I have also been helping middle school aged students (6th-8th) in their academic schoolwork. My goal as a tutor is to help my students and their families see tangible results while also making the curriculum fun and inviting while using inclusive methods of teaching.
