Hi! I'm Ryan. I'm a lifelong lover of math and science. I have a BS in Applied Physics from Christopher Newport University and a day job as a data analyst for an IT company that specializes in pharmaceutical data. I've casually been helping friends and family with their math problems in their educational and professional careers for years, but have recently decided to offer my tutoring services in light of COVID-19. I know many students are currently displaced and often math requires a little more hands-on help that parents and teachers may not have the capacity for. I'd like to help in any way I can. ... I am a teacher having taught 25 years. I am married and have one artist daughter living in Zurich, Switzerland. My pedagogy focuses on fun innovative ways to help make learning enjoyable. I have taught in many school systems throughout my 25 years of teaching. I've taught all subjects from grades 3-5. Nevertheless, I think grade 3 has been my favorite, although I have found all of my students from each grade engaging, fun to teach, and typically excited about the lessons being delivered. Each and every student I've taught has always received special attention based on their learning style, needs, and wants. &nb ... View Profile

I have had experience tutoring math as a senior in highschool. Now that I have earned my degree in Biomedical Engineering, I believe I can be an even greater math tutor. I graduated cum laude, and engineering is my pation. I plan to go to dental school, so my premed track can help me tutor more than just math if students need any help with biology or chemistry. I have also volunteered in many research laboratories focusing mainly on cancer research, so I have a lot of experience with the experimental process. I loved helping students boost their grades when I tutored math in high school, and I am excited for the opportunity to tutor again. I ... View Profile
I have been teaching high school physics and general science for 11 years in Wilton, Simsbury, and now Redding. I also have experience tutoring students in chemistry, geometry, and pre-calculus. I love teaching high school and tutoring with me is often a combination of focused conversation and guided practice. I also focus on representing science and math visually, instead of just crunching through equations. Whether you have fallen behind in your class, or just want an edge keeping up, you can rely on my high school teaching experience to guide you through your science course. ... View Profile
I am orgionally from Southern Nh and graduated from Syracuse University in three years with my bachelors degree in 2012. Throughout college, I tutored mostly math, and decided I really liked teaching. After college, I moved down to Fort Worth and became certified as a teacher through TNTP, an excellent program that trains its students to teach specifically in low-income, inner city schools. I began teaching at a middle school in Fort Worth ISD, but decided to move to a high school in Inner-city Dallas my second and third year, because I felt I was more needed in that area than the school I was at. This past year, I moved back to southern Nh a ... View Profile
