I believe my services stand out because I was recently a student myself and know the struggles of keeping up with a large workload and balancing multiple classes. I graduated with a degree in biology and chemistry, so math and science are strenghts of mine, as well as how to navigate virtual school. The kids that I currently tutor are going through virtual school and they have excelled so far this year. It is very rewarding to see that they are thriving during these challenging times with the help of my daily support. Since this is just a part time job, I have ample time to add more (virtual) students to my schedule and help support them as w...

I am a rising senior high school student. Have been a private tutor for three years, tutoring middle school students with Alegra 1, Geometry and Algegra 2. Currently, I am a head-coach for neighborhood middle school competition math club, coaching students for both local and national math competitions. Also, I volunteered to tutor K-12 students in all subjects at a neighborhood nonfit orgraniztion. At my high school, I am an academic coach for AP Calculus AB and Algebra 2 classes. I enjoy working with students, especially underrepresented groups who very often are lack of resources to to guide them to discover their interest and to reach th

Reviews for Kirkland test prep tutors

Recent success stories from people in the Kirkland area.
Macy L.
My situation was unique. I had serious epileptic seizures during high school resulting in multiple brain surgeries and a long, challenging recovery. Matt entered my life during this time; I still had assignments to complete before graduation and an impending SAT exam, so I met with Matt twice a week and learned the essential concepts of writing and reading comprehension. While math was my strong suit, Matt helped me identify some earlier math concepts that needed refreshing. My initial SAT score prior to my relationship with Matt was 1260, but, after tutoring, I received a 1510 and was accepted by my school of choice for pre-med studies. I continue to meet with Matt two or three times per week during my undergraduate studies for more advanced writing strategies. I cannot imagine a better academic mentor than I have found with Matt.

Chris Morris-Lent has helped my kids with everything from Pre-Calc and AP World History to ACT/SAT prep. He has a unique skill set with expertise in a wide range of subjects, along with the flexibility to alter his teaching style to best suit the student. He teaches not only academic subjects but also test-taking and studying strategies to streamline the students’ workload and improve test scores. Chris has a very relaxed style, with professional, high standards (in both business and tutoring).
