About
As a doctoral student in Astronomy, my years of academic studies had helped me develop great knowledge in many subjects, especially mathematics. I have a bachelor's in Natural Sciences and a Masters in Physics, both of them requiring high-level of math.
What makes me stand out is that I like to prepare well in advance from the tutoring session. I like to go over the material by myself so that I can offer an excellent service to the student. Also, this gives me time to prepare diagnostic tests, quizzes and homework for the student.
Another way that I stand out is that I invest time on the student outside of the tutoring session: I like to know how they are doing in the classes, how did the test go, and sometimes send motivational messages to show support.
Seeing how the student's knowledge improves and grows throughout the tutoring sessions is a rewarding and satisfactory experience. I believe knowledge can change the world, thus I like to pay forward what knowledge has done for me to be where I am standing in life right now.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I request that the material to be discussed during the tutoring session is sent to me prior the first session. That way I can develop a diagnostic test followed by take-home assignments (with hints on how to solve the problem) so the student can work on it by themselves. I charged the first session at a very low price and if the student likes it, I then charge my normal rate.
After the first session, I continue to develop assignments and quizzes so the student can practice until they feel confident with the topic.
