Patricia C. says, "We hired Theo and his team this summer for private work in Science. Our tutor was a former Middle School teacher who had a the background in marine biology. My boy was asking about the session every day and after was learning more on his own about marine life, dinousars, and other animals. The classes have captured his attention. I rated StudentCircle highly for Professionalism and Subject Expertise. I also appreciate that the cost is reasonable compared with other individuals I chatted with. Thank you! We will be continuing in the Fall." Read more

I recently moved to the area from Seattle, Wa., originally from Connecticut. I have a 23 yr old son, recent college graduate, and my 18 yr old daughter is a freshmen at Wa. State. All children learn differently, and all children have the capacity to achieve their highest dreams. When a child finds difficulty in learning, then you must try a different method for them to reach their goals. I am extremely patient and I learn from all my students and they are capable from learning from me. I have a BA in human services from Antioch University and I enjoy helping others....

My service is focused on the creation of personalized tutorial sessions for each person. Not all the people has the same way of learning and find the one which fits with you is part of my task. My classes are focused on conversation and practice in terms of language. The repetition and fluency is the goal. Learning is part of the process but we don't have to get stuck with unnecessary terminology.

Reviews for Kent English tutors

Recent success stories from people in the Kent area.
Macy L.
My situation was unique. I had serious epileptic seizures during high school resulting in multiple brain surgeries and a long, challenging recovery. Matt entered my life during this time; I still had assignments to complete before graduation and an impending SAT exam, so I met with Matt twice a week and learned the essential concepts of writing and reading comprehension. While math was my strong suit, Matt helped me identify some earlier math concepts that needed refreshing. My initial SAT score prior to my relationship with Matt was 1260, but, after tutoring, I received a 1510 and was accepted by my school of choice for pre-med studies. I continue to meet with Matt two or three times per week during my undergraduate studies for more advanced writing strategies. I cannot imagine a better academic mentor than I have found with Matt.
