About
For the past six years, I have been working in a myriad of different teaching and childcare position. I began as a babysitter and student leader in high school, watching over younger students and teaching them about agriculture through our local FFA program. I continued that engagement with the Liberal Arts Council in college, along with working as a Peer Mentor and continuing to babysit. Additionally, I work as the Herpetology instructor for a two-week residential summer camp, beginning in 2019. This position with Nature Camp allowed me to develop connections with kids 10 and up, as well as virtual learning and lesson planning skills. I am eager to use my experience to help ease the burden of virtual learning on students and parents. I look forward to speaking with you.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I clarify with the parents (or the student if college-aged) what exactly they are looking for. I then schedule an initial session and provide either a game or a worksheet to begin with, before discussing with the student the things that they feel that they struggle with. I then make a plan with them, to determine the activities that they find engaging.
