I have been teaching English and History for the past 16 years in a variety of educational settings. I hold a Commonwealth of Virginia teaching license. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education, English and History. I also hold a Master's in American History and I am currently a PhD. canadiate at Liberty University. I bring a wealth of knowledge about English literature, grammar and writing with a deep understanding of the teaching and learning process. My greatest strength is the ability to bring out the best in students by creating a positive learning environment that meets the needs of the students.
I enjoy working with each student, encouraging them to take academic risks and see them soar!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I begin by introducing myself and engage in 'getting to know' you activities. Once we establish interests, I begin to help students set reachable goals.
