FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We meet at a local coffee shop for proper introductions. Then we review what the student needs and decide if my tutoring would benefit the student.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been a professional ESL ( English as Second Language) instructor for many years. I have many years in the consulting industry which has allowed me to provide information in most business capacities. (papers and presentations)

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I am revamping what I offer and how I offer it. Currently, I do not have a standard pricing system. This allows me to provide quality services at the level they are needed.

How did you get started teaching?

I seem to always have been tutoring someone in something! I started in high school and became a certified ESL teacher while working on my Bachelor degrees. My professional teaching career started in France.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with students as young as 8 years old and as old as 77 years old. I am comfortable teaching and working with any age group.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I recently got to spend some post-holiday time with my 91 year old grandmother.  We were working on some family ancestry projects and made some new discoveries. It was very enlightening.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Talk to several tutors if possible, to guage which one will work best with your needs.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
