Lisa Zajur has been an educator for 35 years holding a degree in education, specializing in communications, and curriculum design. Lisa Zajur, is a certified cultural trainer on the Hispanic & North American culture, developed the Awaken the Spanish & English Within® Language and Cultural Training programs to help people understand the Hispanic & North American culture, while learning to speak Spanish or Enlgish in an easy, fun, and practical way. Voice TonalityTM technology patent pending system of learning developed by Lisa Zajur increases language comprehension and retention, using a whole brain approach to learning a foreign language. These unique training programs also include industry specific Spanish or English with consulting on the Hispanic or North American culture and have received the Rising Star Award from the American Business Women’s Association. The University of Richmond’s School of Continuing Studies offered the Awaken the Spanish Within® courses for 10 years, where Lisa has Adjunct Faculty certification.

Before instructional time is established we identity goals the students have in learning a second language.

6 one hour sessions are $300 per student.
How did you get started teaching?
Henrico County & Chesterfield County Public Schools, University of Richmond Adjunct Faculty School of Contuing Studies, Working with ESL students in Richmond City, Chesterfield & Henrico County Public Schools, Owner of Bilingual Preschool for 11 years.

Preschool, Elementary, Middle, High School, Adults.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently, a student told me that after our sessions working together she received an A on her test, and has improved her grades in two subjects.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for an instructor who understands your challenges, and creates lessons that build your confidence to help you continue your journey in learning a second language.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
As a student are you willing to put in the extra time and effort to study, and practice outside of tutor sessions to improve your skill sets?
