What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First things first, I take time to really understand the students needs by having them fill out a questionaire. After figuring out their subject needs and the tutoring style that will fit them best, I schedule a complimentary 20 minute session to give the student an opportunity to decide if I am the best tutor for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a bachelors degree in business administration and hold membership in the National Tutoring Association.
I also have previous experience as a calculus instructor at a community college.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have a pricing list that I share with the student. All prices do not include the $5-$10 travel fee I charge, depending on the location of the student. Tutoring rates average between $20-$40/hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching and tutoring in grade school when helping my peers. After I realized how much I enjoyed heloping others better understand topics, I decided to further pursue tutoring.

I have worked with high school students, college students, and adult learners.
