I am currently a 6th grade Math & Advanced Math teacher at a public middle school in Newport News, Virginia. I graduated from Christopher Newport University in 2016 with my Masters in Education & a valid Virginia teaching license. Being endorsed in both Elementary Education and Middle School Math have helped broaden my teaching & tutoring abilities. My double endorsement combined with my desire to join alongside students' educational paths both have made the past 4 1/2 years of my teaching career remarkable. I love helping students learn & grow, and consider it an honor to be part of a child's life for even a brief time. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Christopher Newport University, which I received in 2015. I also have a Masters in Education degree which I received after graduating again from CNU in 2016. Through CNU's 5-year Masters program, I took courses for Psychology & Education, graduate-level courses for Education, student taught under the discretion of a University Supervisor, passed the Praxis tests required for endorsements in Elementary Education & Middle School Math, & received my Virginia state teaching license upon graduating in 2016 from CNU.
