About
I have a bachelor's degree in theology and, although I do not have a degree English, I've learned to learn, teach, and provide revolutionary principles for reading comprehension. I'm 28yrs young and willing to travel to you, meet at a desired destination, or tutor via an internet base. I've taught extensively in several other capacities outside of English/Reading, but am able to appropriate my knowledge to help you learn and read better! I struggled with reading for years (even in college) but have learned life-changing keys and tricks to become a better absorber of information than my talented peers! I love kids and only charging $15 to save you money and to get me more experience! I'm in the Hampton Roads area for the summer.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
As Albert Einstein once said (paraphrased), 'you can't teach a fish and elephant to climb a tree.' Getting to know you and how YOU learn best is my top priority. What is your learning style? In what state or environment do you learn with ease? Learning under stress can be difficult. I'd analyze what environment and method of learning puts you in the most relaxed frame of mind to boost your comprehensive abilities.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor's in theology/minor in psychology at Andrews University. I also taught English in Guatemala to groups of kids.
