I am a retiring English and reading teacher with 25 years experience teaching middle school students in both private and public schools. Finding out the unique hindrances students have to good comprehension in reading, and lack of understanding in language and writing, and then creating the strategies and habits to overcome those hindrances is exciting! Students find that small tweaks that pay off in big successes is a relief and boost in confidence. I know how to do this!

We would need to interview and discuss the needs and aims of the student. I request ways to communicate with current and past teachers. I would procur or create a pretest or other method of assessment aligned with the needs and aims discussed. Then I plan my methods and strategies.
Though I do not have a transcripted Master's Degree, I have taken more than the equivalent classes and courses, training seminars, and clinics through the years to equip me with excellent pedagogy. I have decades of experience, and I love what I do because I am good at it.
