Generally I will try and understand a student's pace and proefficiency in the subject before asking them to highlight certain problem areas (if any). Based on their answers and knowledge I will teach a curriculum based at their pace with constant reaffirmation and elaboration on ideas and work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As an educated individual who's studied college compositional writing and professional writing, I have always been proefficient in these courses, receiving academic recognition for my efforts and talents.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Tutoring generally will begin at $8.00 USD per hour (for any listed subject). However, if the situation requires that I must help a student cram I may charge and additional fee based on a set due date.
How did you get started teaching?
I got srated tutoring in middle school and high school, frequently elaborating subjects and work for peers.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with young students, older students, students with disabilities, students with attention disorders, etc. I've found success with nearly every student.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
A few general question to ask before determining your needs are:
- Do I struggle with any certain areas specfically?
- What subjects do I need the most help in?
- How can I better understand the material?
- How do I learn best? (Auditory, visual, tactile).
- What short term goals can I set to reach my long term goal?
