About
I help both gifted and struggling students realize their full potential and thrive in mathematics. I've seen students who were scraping by climb a whole letter grade within just the first month of working with me, and I've seen other students become the top in their classes under my instruction. I believe that no student is ever 'bad at math', and all math can be understood well if it is taught in a way that resonates with the student. And more than that, I believe that math is fun, and I strive to instill this belief in every student I work with.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Given excess time, I love to warm up at the start of sessions with logic games or puzzles. If not, we can dive right in with whatever the student is struggling with to discover the source of their struggles.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
University of Virginia, BS in Engineering Science, Focuses in Applied Math and Astronomy.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Due to Covid-19 my rates for online tutoring are currently discounted:
$60/hour for in-person sessions
$50/hour for online sessions
$40 for any single online session 45 minutes or less
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with students at all skill levels, whether struggling to pass or aspiring to excel. While I specialize in working with middle and high schoolers, I've worked with students young and old, all the way from 1st grade through college-level.
