Augustus Garrison

Hi, I'm Gus! I'm an experienced Computer Scientist who plays with math, programming, and the English language in his free time! I specialize in working with neurodivergent students, including Dyslexic, Autistic, ADHD, and C/PTSD students. My approach is to start at their target level, determine key prequisites to their knowledge they may have missed out on, and build up from those.

I started tutoring in high school. I advanced at a faster pace than my peers, so to alleviate my boredom, my teachers sent me to neighboring classrooms to help teach other students.

I love tutoring because I believe everyone shares a fundamental curiosity. Seeing thatdesire to learn return to the eyes of people who've had it rescinded by an uncaring machine brings me a great sense of fulfillment.

I tutor K-12, and my strongest skills are in math, programming, and writing.
