Our goal is to help students unlock their passions! We help students with SAT Prep, College Essay Writing, as well as covering all aspects of English and History.

I have been tutoring since 2020 and helping students find their future college homes. I attended UVA for undergrad and finished my Master's degree this past May. I am currently a High School History Teacher in the Charlottesville area.

Frequently asked questions

My first meeting typically lasts an hour. I do an introduction and learn about the student in the first 10 minutes. If I don't beleive it's an area that I can improve, I refund the money. If the introduction goes well, I do a lesson that day and then try and follow up once a week to maintain commonalities for the student and avoid getting behind or forgetting what was taught in the previous lesson.

I have tutored for over a year now. I graduated from UVA in 2016 with a Bachelor's degree. In May I completed my Master's of Education with a focus on teaching humanites and social science classes.

I have always loved helping kids find their life's goals. In high school and college I tutored local elementary and middle school kids. I have spent the past 4 years working in Finance, but did not find much joy in the job. I have decided to go back to school to teach full time starting in 2022. Since 2020 I have been tutuoring over 20 hours a week and have a 4.9/5 star rating on TutorMe. I am currently a High School teacher living in Charlottesville, VA.

I have worked with mostly Middle, High School, and College aged students.

I recently had the pleasure of assisting my brother with his college essays. He accepted admission in JMU and I couldn't be prouder.

I would say to hire a tutor that understands your personal needs. There are plenty of highly intelligent tutors, but some struggle to build personal relationships. Make sure you have a connection with your tutor.
