Hello,
My name is Jenna Jokl and I am currently a high school student. I would be graduating this year however I actually had mental health problems like depression and anxiety. Due to that, I chose to repeat a year because it would be best for my grades and transcript. I have always loved to help people with homework and actually wanted to become an English teacher a little while ago. I found out that my passion was helping kids who have mental problems and figuring out a constructive yet calming way to help them through school. I am taking AP classes this year, about 4, and I love teaching the lower grade levels.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I want to get to know the student. Ask them who they are and what they like and what they might be having trouble with. Then what I want to do is test how well they work with different approaches to the work. I also need to make sure if they are enjoying themselves in the class, and if not then try to find a way to fix that.
