About this tutor

No matter your skill level in math, I pride myself in being able to help anyone understand their subject.

I have a passion for teaching and an equally strong passion for math. Math gets a bad reputation for being everyone's least favorite subject in school, but I want everyone to see the beauty in it the same way I do.

He was professional and on time, and listened to the student and made sure he understood where they needed help and how to apply the information he had. He was outstanding as a tutor . thank you for sending him out way.

Mitch was amazing! My son is on the spectrum, and was failing college math. In a few weeks, Mitch turner around the situation, and my son passed this important class! Thank you, Mitch :-) I cannot recommend enough.

I worked with Mitch about a year ago to prepare for my precalc class. He really helped me a lot and dedicated a lot of time and effort to make sure I understood the material. Every week he would email me links of practice problems and was always patient with me and worked with me at my own pace. I ended the class with a B+ and its all thanks to him. This coming spring semester I will be taking Calc 1 and the first thing I did was contact him to see if he could tutor me again. I would highly recommend Mitch for anyone who needs a tutor as he is an amazing tutor and overall a very kind person who truly wants you to succeed.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First, I want to learn about the student and their experience in school and with math. Then we can jump right into the tutoring: what they've been learning recently, and where they're having trouble.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been tutoring in math for the last 10 years. I was a volunteer peer-tutor in high school, and worked part-time tutoring while getting my math degree in college. Since then, I have been tutoring online.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Pricing starts at $35/hr, not including travel time and expenses. I offer the first session for $25/hr to make sure I'm a good fit for the student.

What types of students have you worked with?

I've worked with many types of students, from high school and above. In college, I tutored science majors, business majors, and fellow math majors. It doesn't matter if a student loves math or dreads it, because I will still be there to help.
