About
I will do everything to ensure the student will retain material and try my best to help the student succeed. I am also a student and I just graduated high school and will be attending Penn State in the fall. Being in the age group of students I understand the necessity of extra help as I have seeked it out myself. Throughout high school I took 8 AP classes which are AP world history, AP psychology, AP world history, AP language and comp, AP literature, AP government, AP statistics, and AP biology. I also started my own club to help bring mental health awareness and was a Sources of Strength peer leader (suicide prevention organization). These two organizations have helped me understand the needs and minds of students. I also was a competitor in a marketing club called DECA where it helped grow my communication and articulation skills. These are skills that I utilize while working with a student.
I absolutely love helping people, and I love communicating with people. Tutoring helps blend these two loves of mine. I want to see every single student succeed and love to be someone that people can turn to for help. Being able to see growth is not only rewarding for the student but also for the tutor and helping to stimulate that growth I find is extremely gratifying.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will talk to them first and see what they need and expect from me. I will then have a conversation about their learning habits and create a plan and course of action on how to teach them. Then I will discuss that plan with the student and see if it works with them and their parent/guardian. If I see this method of teaching is not working I will try switching it up so that I can find the best way to benefit the student.
