I have a Biology degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. While I majored in Biology and Chemistry, I was always passionate about language and literature, in general, which led me to take several English literature courses that have truly impacted me and changed the way I view the world. Ever since I was little, I enjoyed reading. I remember getting home from school and picking up a book and not being able to put it down until my parents forced me to go to bed. My wish now is to be able to help students come to appreciate and understand the beauty of language, and in this case in particular, the English and Spanish language. For the past four years, I have successfully worked with several students and assisted them in a wide variety of disciplines such as in AP English classes, Spanish tutoring, Biology/ Science courses, and college essays. I also have worked with non-native English speaking students in helping them achieve better analytical skills, improved reading comprehension and writing abilities.
