I am delighted to recommend Elizabeth Weston for teaching in the Arlington, VA school district. The wealth of her experience, her keen interest in developing her students’ abilities, and her unique talent at inspiring students combine to make her a truly outstanding teacher.

I was lucky to have been one of Ms. Weston’s AP English students over twenty years ago at the Lycée Français de New York, when I was an 11th grade student. I remember feeling challenged by the coursework and motivated by Ms. Weston’s own enthusiasm with the material and her expectation that we would engage with it.

Ms. Weston provided valuable feedback and encouragement that awakened my appreciation for English literature and a confidence in my own writing. She also prepared my classmates and me for American standardized testing. All of this was no easy feat considering that French is my first language and that all of the other subjects at the Lycée were taught in French. Ms. Weston demonstrated a great sensitivity to each student’s background and needs and was effective in delivering individualized attention even in a larger class.
