About
One size never fits all. I believe that each student is a unique individual and needs a personalized approach to tutoring. I focus on helping students reach their goals and feel confident in their ability to succeed - because they can!
I am passionate about helping students feel prepared for success on the ACT or to thrive in their math/English classes! I have a masters in education and have been tutoring online and in-person for more than 8 years.
Personal connection and starting where the student is at are essential for success. Each student has unique strengths and challenges. I tailor my tutoring to meet students' needs and goals. I look forward to talking with you about your student and to sharing with you how I can help him/her reach their full potential!

I am passionate about helping students feel confident in their learning, and their ability to reach their goals. Too often students put a negative label on themselves, or they feel this label from someone else. I really enjoy helping students peel off this label to find the one inside of them that reflects who they really are and their potential!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would like to learn about your student and his/her educational challenges and goals. I will explain my approach to tutoring, and how I work to establish a connection with students. We will agree on day/time for a trial session, and I am happy to answer any questions you have!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters in education, but I have been working with students in grades 1- 12th in Engish, Math, and ACT prep for over 8 years. I am passionate about what I do and in helping students feel confidence in their ability to learn and reach their goals!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For most tutoring, I charge $35 for each hour-long session, and it's adjusted accordingly if I meet for more or less time with a student. This fee includes any prep work I do in between sessions. If applicable, it also includes the student's access to Raz Kids and Education.com for extra support and resources outside of our sessions. There is no commitment, and if the client is not happy with the first session and does not want to continue, the session fee will be waived,
How did you get started teaching?
I love working individually with students. There is not a one-size-fits-all approach to learning, and I feel that tutoring is the best way to help students with individual needs and goals be successful.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with boys and girls in grades K-12 in Math, English, Reading, Writing and ACT prep.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I highly suggest that students look for someone with knowledge, experience, passion, and an ability to connect! I would suggest taking the time to talk with the tutor ahead of time to make sure it's a good fit for the tutor and the student.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
If age-appropriate, students should think about what their goals are, and how they are struggling to reach those goals.
