About

There are dozens of tutoring centers in the state and hundreds if not thousands more nationwide, so why choose us? Our model for ACT and SAT programs is entirely unique because we focus around using the current free resources in conjunction with our highly trained tutors to help build the most efficient ACT program on the market today. Do you want to pay for 40 to 60 hours of prep to get that 5 point increase? We didn’t think so! Especially when there are so many resources out there that you could be utilizing. So forget the standard 40 hour ‘premier’ programs. Our programs focus on top notch personalization and working closely with the student to create a plan of action that allows the student to accomplish work on their own and use their time with their tutors to hone in on the best strategies for them specifically and fine tune how they are applying their knowledge to the test. The best part about our program: we are not only helping our students achieve results faster and more efficiently, we are also teaching them testing skills and independent study skills that will carry through college and into the real world!

Nothing beats seeing a student get into the college of their dreams because they were able to bring their ACT score up 7 points, or seeing a student who has been struggling with math their entire lives suddenly have it make sense and have them realize that they are not ‘bad’ at math and are capable of getting a good grade in their class.

Frequently asked questions

Our typical process for working with a new student begins with a free consultation with the parent. You will meet in person or on skype with Melissa, the owner, and discuss your students specific needs. From there we discuss which program is the best fit, and set up a schedule with a highly qualified and trained tutor.

I have a bachelors degree in Mathematics from the University of Utah. I have 9 years of experience with ACT and SAT prep and am a perfect ACT scorer. I also consult with licensed teachers and education professionals to put together my curriculum and training which gets updated and maintained on a monthly basis. I plan to eventually go back and attain a PHD in education psychology to learn even more vital skills to assist my students.

My lessons run on an hourly fee structure that depends upon the service that is requested.

I got started teaching with tutoring all through my high school years. In college, I began working at a franchise learning center. When I graduated, I left the learning center to pursue a full time degree, but quickly began tutoring on the side along with my full time job. I was unable to let the tutoring business go so I came back and opened a center to help students full time starting in 2015.

We have worked with all ranges of students from those who are behind grade levels in math and reading up to high school students who are taking AP math and physics courses. We also work with all ranges of ACT and SAT students; my personal specialty is ACT students who are wanting to score in the top scoring range and I have helped a student achieve a perfect score on the ACT.

The most recent event I was a fan of was the introduction of ACT academy straight form the makers of the ACT. This academy is an online tool to help students with their preparation of the ACT test and provides more resources that students can work through independently.

My best advice I could give a student looking to hire a teacher in my area of expertise is do your research. Make sure that the teachers are skilled and that they understand any specific needs you have and how to tailor their teaching to that. Every person involved in the process of helping you with your ACT or SAT program should be highly skilled and knowledgeable with every aspect of the tests.

Some of the most important questions to think through would be the following:

How much time do you have each week to commit to your tutoring needs?

Is in-person tutoring or online tutoring a better fit for you?

What are your specific goals and what do you hope to achieve through working with a tutor?
