Math is my hobby and i like to share it

Hello, I am an experienced and enthusiastic teacher and tutor with over 17 years of experience working with children in grades K through 5. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in TESOL. I've been privileged to work with children who have various needs, from ADHD, autism, dysgraphia, second language learners and gifted and talented. With lots of patience, love, and sound pedagogical practices, I've seen each of my students thrive both academically and emotionally.. Hi! I'm Sydne, a BYU student studying Applied Mathematics, and let me tell you- I know what it's like to feel discouraged about math! For a student who is behind in class or not quite getting it, they may start to believe that math is "not fun" or that they are "just bad at it". I'm here to help students get AHEAD in their math class so that learning math will be relaxed and fun rather than frantic. I focus on drilling concepts with many examples. My goal is to help students understand how to approach these problems, and how to THINK THROUGH them in ways that will strengthen them in every aspect of learning for the rest of their lives.
