What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I get to know the student by determining what level of school they are in, what they hope to learn from our tutoring, and what their interests are.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
On-line teaching certification and Canvas certifications from Salt Lake Community College.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
On-line lessons are $25/hour, in person lessons are $35/hour at a meeting place or my tutoring office or $40-$50/hour at your home depending on location.
How did you get started teaching?
As a Naval Officer, you are always teaching and training, so starting a tutoring business was a natural extension of that.
What types of students have you worked with?
Second grade to late adult learners of all levels.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that they have a background in what you need to learn and can do your level of problems.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1) The urgency of their need, 2) the amount of time that they are willing to committ to learning, 3) their budget for getting to their goal.
