Elementary Tutoring

I have taught elementary school for 25+ years. With extensive teaching experience across a variety of disciplines, I'm interested in making a positive impact on students' acheivement and attitude toward their studies.

I'm cerified to teach grades k-6. I also have a Masters degree in Instructional Technology and Library Media, therefore I'm qualified to help with research and writing projects. Along with classroom experience, I taught in a school library, grades k-12, for several years as well. Part of that time, I taught research at the middle school and high school level using educational data bases and proper formatting methods of research papers.

Mostly, I enjoy making connections with kids. Once that connection is made, students will generally take risks and work hard to accomplish tasks they never knew they were capable of. Seeing that confidence build and their skills progress, all the while connecting to kids and their families is very satisfying.
