Math Tutoring By Joel

Hello! I'm Joel, a dedicated math tutor with a passion for helping students excel in their academic journey. I recently graduated with an Associate's degree in Computer Science from SLCC and hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Westminster University.

I offer tutoring virtually or at my place of residence in Murray. Driving to a location (within Salt Lake County) adds an extra $10 on top of the hourly rate.

Virtual tutoring will be done over Google Meets utilizing their built-in whiteboard application. A webcam for the student is preferred so I can see their work/answers from a notebook. I advise all of my students to have a notebook, a scientific calculator, erasable writing utensils, and any class/instruction notes. I will be utilizing a drawing pad and microphone to work with the student.

Currently, I work at Salt Lake Community College as a Learning Assistant (Math Tutor), where I've assisted in teaching Math 990 and Math 1050. My experience mostly includes tutoring students for College Algebra and some Trigonometry/Precalculus. I’ve tutored professionally for about a year and privately for six months.
