Davis Tutoring (History, English, English As A Second Language)

Hi! My name is Steven Davis and I am a Social Studies, English Language Arts, and English as a Second Language tutor and a football trainer. I love being in education because I want to help people succeed and reach their highest potential!

Previously, I taught English Language Learners for 2.5 years in the Hazelwood School District in St. Louis, MO, where I was able to work successfully to teach individual students based on their unique needs, which is very similar to what I do as a tutor. I also coached football at St. John Vianney High School in St. Louis, where I was a member of a state championship winning staff, and at Hazelwood West High School in St. Louis. Additionally, I was an all-conference offensive lineman at Greenville University in Greenville, IL.

I am certified as a Social Studies, English Language Arts, and English as a Second Language teacher, and those are the subjects that I tutor. I also provide training for middle school and high school offensive linemen, teaching them college-level technique to prepare them to reach their full potential.

My favorite part of tutoring and teaching is what I like to call the "oooohhhhh" moment, when after struggling with a certain problem or concept, a student's eyes grow wide as they slowly say "oooohhhhh" and finally understand what they are learning. I like to call this the "sound of learning."
