I am excited to help others with a subject I love! English and Writing classes came easy to me when taking them, they were the only classes I excelled at and enjoyed always. I have also been working as an aide for 3 years and I am great at listening to my students to see what they need. I love teaching and I love helping people understand the things they are working on.
I love seeing that lightbulb moment when working with a student! It makes me happy to know that they are understanding. No one likes being behind in a class because they are not understanding, so seeing that moment when you both know they are going to be great is so fun!
I also really just love English and writing. I love grading papers and helping to give ideas when working on a paper. Even if someone has no idea where to start, I love being able to help them come up with ideas for the paper. I hope to teach skills that can be used for the rest of their academic and even professional careers.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to talk to them and see where they need help the most. Ask them what they feel they need help with. We would make a goal and a plan and stick to them!
