We go over the area that they struggle with and we get to know each other's styles of learning. I try to teach according to their learning style.

I have a degree in Math education. I taught 5th through 12th grade math.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a tutor you feel comfortable with and doesn't make you feel like you don't know anything... I hear a lot from my students how their teachers make them feel stupid and they should never feel that way.
