I conduct a comprehensive written and oral evaluation to assess what you (or your child) know and do not know. From your (your child's) assessment, I conduct a customized learning plan that targets skill gaps and develops number sense, etc.
I use a combination of techniques that work with different learning styles (visual, verbal, mental, written, and tactile).
I have a Master Tutor certification.
I use effective and efficient methods of teaching while focusing on individual needs.
I am a very experienced math tutor. I am a certified teacher in Utah State of Education with a Level 4 Math Endorsement. I have been teaching in Middle & High Schools for 9 years.
My students got good scores on Utah state standardized tests (RISE test, Aspire Plus, ACT test, and state Math Contest).
I love teaching and helping students who struggle with math.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I discuss with them about their hobbies and what they like.
I ask them what they want to learn exactly from me.
I check the student's math skills with simple basic problems.
From your (or your child's) assessment, I construct a customized learning plan that targets skill gaps and develops Number Sense, etc.
Along with working through their customized learning plans, my students receive any help to solidify their understanding of concepts covered.

I graduated from University with a math education degree.
