About
Teaching a single concept in multiple ways until you truly understand it
There is nothing more satisfying when I see someone who works hard at math and finally gets it. With me tutoring at others’ side, we skip a lot of the frustration so hard work transfers directly into great results /grades.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically help students from high school and college level math. Therefore they will typically already have something to go over. We will both look at homework problems, I will present a few ways to look at the problems as well as a few ways to check one’s work. We will see which of these methods works best for the student instead of them being force fed a concept they can’t wrap their mind around.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been tutoring since high school. I love to help where I can with math because it helps me remember myself.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The rates are typically based on level of difficulty and time.however, an average rate would be $18/hr with each hour being roughly 1-2 homework assignments of math concepts.
How did you get started teaching?
Teaching math is the best way to understand math. I was taught this at a young age, so although I never did it for pay, I never stopped teaching what I knew once I got a concept down.
What types of students have you worked with?
high school and college for the most part
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they care about you understanding the concept. Teachers have an addenda they have to cover. That is why courses may seemed rushed, but the best teachers are those who have a great understanding of the material but an even greater love of being able to teach it effectively.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
With mathematics, it is pretty cut-throat. Ilyou either know the concept or you don’t. Math tests determine how many concepts you understand. Therefore, memorization is important and...well...teaching others the concept you understand is key to mastering each problem.
